ENDLESS CITY

Typology
Installation Design

Client
Max Dewdney, One Architecture Week

Location
London / Plovdiv, Bulgaria

Concept
To create an architectural installation in the form of a scaled model that investigates the idea of a city as an endless, warehouse-like interior. Max Dewdney Architects commissioned Clover Studio to fabricate a physical interpretation of his computer renders, which studied references formulated by Mario Tronti in ‘Society as a Factory’. It was to be exhibited at “One Architecture Week” in Bulgaria and then at the V&A in London.

The scaled laser cut and 3d printed interior is lit from within and has 2 way mirror sides. When peering into the mirrored box, this creats the illusion that the interior space is one endless room.
